    A deviation - good and bad
    I loved 2033 and LL. I loved the claustrophobia of the tunnels, the creation of a strange, terrifying world from one that would otherwise be familiar. I loved the way the game turned the world on its head - safe(r) underground, and deadly on the surface with the requirement to wear a gas mask just to explore it.

    With this title, things become a little more 'normal.' Levels involve exploring deserts, woods, remote villages. These are all settings which have been hashed to death. It's got that Metro feel, but in rather too familiar contexts.
    I preferred Metro when it stuck to what made it unique. I'm fine with a change, but the underground or tight close-quarters levels are almost gone. There are still some great Metro moments - exploring otherwise drab and dreary places like a Metro train workshop, except it's filled with giant waterborne centipede-like creatures and the walls are covered with slime. Moments like that took me back to the fantastic juxtaposition achieved by the first two games; the familiar or ordinary mixed with the extraordinary. The corruption or transformation of an otherwise pedestrian setting and making it peculiar.

    This title is much more mainstream. It's not BAD, but it's less of a Metro title and more of a typical FPS RPG. The open world idea was a nice progression, but I would have loved to see an open world metro system.

    For the price offered here, 4 stars. For the original retail price, 3 stars.

    Great Singleplayer Shooter
    If you liked the previous Metro titles you will most probably love Metro Exodus.
    It's a great story driven Singleplayer Shooter, which brings Artyom's story to a decent end.
    Linear levels are mixed with sandox levels in which you are luckily not supposed to to open world grinding, you just explore these beautifull levels as much as you want to.
    Sometimes you now play in daylight, but that doesn't really destroy the well known Metro Atmosphere, also there are lots of levels that feel classic, even if they don't play in a metro.
    Graphics and sound are really good, storry telling and characters are well done, you will remember this one.

    Yes you will need the Epic Launcher, yes it's not yet as good as steam.
    But you can play the game without any problems and that's what matters, because that is no lazy industrial product like Far Cry New Dawn.
    This is a game done by people with real dedication to theire profession, who have put a lot of love into the game, you will recognize this.
